WHO WE ARE
We are a group of mature Catholic men: current and future fathers, husbands, and servants, who meet regularly to support and strengthen one another by growing our faith in GOD through study, reflection, and sharing life’s experiences with the Word of GOD.

PATRON
Saint Joseph, Blessed Spouse of Mother Mary, defender and protector of family, and model of a faithful and loving husband, a hardworking provider, and of trust and obedience to God’s will.

VISION
To become the men that GOD desires us to be with Saint Joseph as our role model of manhood, fatherhood, and servanthood, in service of GOD and neighbor.

Our Ministry is based on the virues of our Patron, Saint Joseph
This Ministry is based on the consecration of Saint Joseph, who is the model of a faithful and loving husband, the provider to the Family, who lived a life of holiness.These are the qualities that we seek to support, strengthen, and build, to help men live a more holy life in today’s world.Therefore, our Ministry actions are focused on supporting mature Catholic men who find support through discussions, learning, and sharing God in today’s environment.

Why the Ministry is called “Chosen Men’s Ministry”
The name of our Ministry, “Chosen Men’s Ministry” is based on 1 Peter 2:9. We are inviting all mature adult males to join this Ministry based on the ideals of our Patron, Saint Joseph. We invite YOU, because you too are CHOSEN, come join us. We believe that those who join and stay with the Ministry do so because they have answered a primary call from God to be holy, as described in 1 Peter 2 : 9, and to “… proclaim the wonderful acts of God …”Therefore, we believe those that answer the call of this Ministry are “chosen” by God for this purpose.

MEETINGS:
We have meetings twice a month, every 2^nd and 4^th Thursday, for prayer, Bible study, reflections and testimonies of living with GOD.

Chosen Men’s Ministry

GOALS

1. Spiritual Life: Spiritual statements of faith that we mobilize.

• To develop trust, strong connections, mutual acceptance, and willingness to invest time and effort in the relationship among members of the Men’s Ministry.
• To grow in our faith and love of GOD, in our prayer life, in our knowledge, understanding, and obedience to the Word of GOD and the Teachings of the Catholic Church.
• To grow deeper in our devotion to the Eucharist, Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

2. Family Life: Family is the smallest church requiring ongoing protection and development.

• To strengthen our married life and grow more in our love, understanding, respect, and support for one another as husband and wife.
• As priest of the family, to bring our family members into a personal relationship with GOD by teaching them the Word of GOD, and by living Christian values in the family.
• Tobe good providers and protectors of our families.

3. Community Life: A Community of Faith contributes to a broader mission of Faith

• To foster a spiritual environment where we can grow closer to GOD and others through shared beliefs, practices, and values.
• To provide an improved sense of belonging, mutual support, and opportunities for service and evangelism.
• To grow in participation and support in Parish events, programs, and gatherings through attendance, and voluntary service, and sharing of time, talent, and treasure.

4. Mission in the World:

• To reach out to other mature men in the Parish, especially those who need a support group and who want to develop or grow deeper in their personal relationship with GOD.
• To witness and accept Christian values in our daily life and in our working environment.

THE WAY WE INTERACT:

• To create a friendly and open environment by ensuring confidentiality within group.
• To provide comfortable and welcoming environment for Catholic men at all levels of spiritual journeys to share their experiences.
• To provide a safe environment and private space for all participants to share personal views and experiences.

But you are – we/us men
a chosen race – called, chosen by God for a purpose
a royal priesthood – called to be priest and leader of the family to bring them back to God.
a holy nation – we are called to holiness (our primary call from God is to be holy). (Be holy for I am holy. - 1 Peter 1:16)
God’s own people – we were created by God, and we belong to Him.
chosen to proclaim the wonderful acts of God – to proclaim the Good News of our salvation (eternal life which Jesus won for us on the Cross) and the wonderful deeds He has done in our lives.
who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. – We once lived in the darkness of our sin, but God showed us His mercy, forgave us, changed us, and brought us to conversion back to Him.
